- Monday
The NCS gang arrived at the Hertfordshire University. Later, after lunch, we arrived at our dorms. We worked on settling in and did a few "Icebreakers" to help get together as a group.
- Tuesday
After spending our first night in the University dorms, we spent the day discussing why we are here for the week. Later after lunch we went to the sports court to play football, badminton, the missile-throwing-game. Those who played badminton had a bit of trouble with the wind.

On the third day of our stay we were split into two separate teams to build a tower out of newspapers. The captains of each team were Jason and Sophie. On Jason's team it was James, Gaurav, Lucy, Zoe, and Dan. On Sophie's team was Tom, Corey, Imogen, Arunn and Gareth. Patrick liked wandering around the groups to see what was going on. Their instructions were to build their own tower using scissors, tape and teamwork- they were supposed to- as Claire said "Think outside the box". One of the members on Jason's team secretly suggested to the Tower-building-judges-council to use water filled bottles to help support their tower and it was approved. The team that won was Jason's team (my team!) for their prize they choose which chocolate bar they wanted to have.
- Thursday
On the forth day of our stay we got down to the business at hand, to create a group project. We all wrote and drew on a LARGE sheet of paper our ideas of what we could do. In the end it was decided that we will create a sensory activity- one of our team mates suggested a care home they know about to host it. The idea was solid all was needed now was a plan to make it happen.
During the afternoon we decided to have a bbq- we roasted bananas with chocolate, marshmallows and nutella on the bbq-Yum!
The end activity of the day was a talent show and disco, most of the group stayed for the disco while some went back to the house. Our girls- Zoe and Lucy who entered the talent show actually won!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic job!
- Friday
Our last day at the University. We've all packed and did some final decisions on the sensory activity idea. While I do the blogging.
